Welcome to Retro Wars a weekly podcast series where myself and a friend talk about the games we used to play when we were kids. We will cover games from a range of consoles from the NES to the PS3. This show is for adults only. I would love for you guys to be part of the show. Streets of Rage 2 is one of the best games ever made, this cannot be denied. I have enjoyed playing this game from it's release to today. It still holds up compared to it's big brother, Streets of Rage 4. This week, I am joined by Chris Coplien from the Retro Hangover podcast who cannot stop proclaiming his love for this game.

Sometimes art can surprise you, it can make your brain do things you did not think were possible. In this case, making a game seem 3D when it wasn't at all. We are talking 3D Battles of World Runner for NES. Captain N from the Retrotopia podcast came with me on a game which we run.....a lot.

At some point we had to cover a Wonderboy game. Apparently I should not have done Monster World first but here we are. I am playing Wonderboy in Monster World on the Sega Mega Drive. Will I like this game.........hmmm?

This week, we go on a hunt of Metroids. Heading back to a very old game on the game boy, Metroid 2. I played this on the Nintendo Switch online and there are few problems with it. For the hunt, I am joined by Blaine the Hoagie Man.

Resident Evil 5 is back in the media again thanks to IGN. Gamergate 2.0 is here....although we didn't want it. I decided to go play Resident Evil 5 and give my thoughts on the matter and the physics of some of the....assets.
Dave McG who has been dubbed my Master System guy is back and I am grateful he agreed to play this.

RIP Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragonball, one of the best most important men in pop culture today. After his sad passing, I have decided to cover one of the best ever games from the franchise, Dragonball GT Final Bout. It is a great game, it is.....it really is.

Grab your sword, shield and staffs, it is time to go back to the world of Dragon Quest.....Warrior....again. Dragon Quest 2 which was released for the NES is often considered unbalanced by many for one particular area of the game. I wanted to see what all the hub hub was about. Alex Kidd....for years, I thought it was Alex the Kidd. I played this a lot as a kid and it horrified me. It came free with the Sega Master System and was Sega's attempt to make a mascot.
